Thawing Out

It sure was nice to have a few "warmer" days. Because of the direction our house faces and the taller house right next to us, the sun NEVER hits our driveway in the winter. Therefore, if we don't get out and get things shoveled right away, it turns to a sheet of ice. (And anything that DOES melt, just creates a huge lake at the end of the driveway!) This winter it ended up being a sheet of VERY THICK ice. We got home from grocery shopping, and I told Jared "Today would be a great day to try and get rid of the rest of the ice on the driveway." So he and Hayden busted out the shovels and started chopping away (literally) at the ice. It was nice to have a clear driveway for a couple of days before it snowed/rained/froze again. It was a beautiful, sunny day!

YAH, I have to say that I am definitely ready for this snow to be gone. I heard it's supposed to warm up a bit next week, so maybe your driveway will stay clear a little while anyway. Cute pics

I know the feeling all to well we have finally got almost all of ours chipped away and taken care of. It melted and made a river so we had to dig lines for the water to run out. Glad you got it cleared up

You do such a great job with all your pictures. What a fun way to share your family with us. Eryn's revolutionary costume is perfect. You are so creative.
I think we are all with you on the snow. Enough is enough!

So, I guess you probably wouldn't want to hear about how we've had weather in the 70s this week?! I wish we could have had just a little bit of snow this year, we've just had flurries and a light dusting once. We've loved all of your recent posts, but haven't gotten around to commenting! The boy's beards and Hayden sleeping were great. We miss you guys!

BRRRRRR....... I know that you were enjoying a warm day or two, but that looks down right cold to me. We are having a "chilly" day of 64* today, but we've had some days in the 80's. I'm not ready for the hot weather yet, I'll stick to the 60* weather.
