Thankful Thursday: Husband of the Year Award!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Husband of the year award goes to:

Hello! Sometimes I wonder how on earth I got so lucky! True, he ain't perfect... sometimes he leaves a half-emptied glass of orange juice sitting on the counter all night, sometimes he forgets to wring out the dish cloth and just drops it into the sink, he sometimes rolls his eyes at my hairbrained ideas, he IS a guy afterall, but much of the time he comes REALLY, REALLY close to perfect. He came home from work yesterday... saw the look on my face that said "today has not. been. good." and didn't waste any time. He didn't say a word, but got right to work. He went downstairs and folded the mountain of laundry that was covering all the seating areas in the family room. Then he put the sheets on the girls bunk-beds (a task I hate... but they had been "sleeping-bagging" since Saturday!) He got the kids in on the act, and had things picked up. Right after dinner he had to head over to the church for mutual, but when he got home, he got the boys to bed so I could work out. Is the house perfectly clean? No. But he managed to do in just a short amount of time what I couldn't do over the course of the entire day. I am so THANKFUL for him. These are the kinds of things he does often. He's the best! I love this guy :)

I love it when they can tell from the look on our faces that it hasn't been a good day. Actions definately speak louder than words at certain times. What a great thankful tribute!

Way to go Jared! (pass that along). We all could use a little bit more "observation times".
