Diggin'

My boys LOVE to dig. In fact, I know I've done a couple of blog posts before showing their love for all things dirt. This one is a little different...

We had all the cousins come over to hang out on July 14. They were having a great time, and asked if they could go outside. I said "Sure. Just stay in the yard." Pretty soon, Hayden came in and said "Can I dig?" I said "Sure. Just remember not to dig up any of my flowers." Well, pretty soon, my brother-in-law, Brad, came to pick up our little buddy Justice. I went out to say "Bye" to Justice, and noticed that the kids had apparently been trying to get to China! They had dug the biggest trench right on the edge of my flower bed! There was dirt piled up on the cement right next to it. I just laughed... what else could I do? Well, I could run inside and grab my camera. I wish Justice had still been there to get in some shots, since I'm sure he was a great contributor to the trench (sorry we missed ya, buddy!) But we got Sage and Syd in with our crazy boys. I took some fun pictures, then said... "Okay guys. I need you to clean up now. Let's get this dirt back into the hole. Oh, and next time, let's not dig such a huge hole, 'kay?" I'm not sure where all the dirt went, because there is still quite the dip where it should be nice and even, but it's a reminder of a fun time with cousins. ;)
