Eryn's ballroom team at school had their Christmas party, which included performances, so families and friends were invited to come. It was fun. They performed all the different types of dances they've been learning... Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Merengue, Tango, etc. That has been the focus of this first semester. Next semester they will start preparing for competitions (which Eryn is super excited about). She is absolutely LOVING it, with only the occasional complaint about a partner she has been assigned to. Keep in mind, these are 11 and 12 year old boys we are talking about, and the latest complaint about one of them was "he has the sweatiest hands!" That is her only complaint, however, and everything else she says, is how much she loves it! It was fun watching what they've learned. After they "demonstrated" the different types of dances, they performed the dance they did at the Lehi Family Week performance. It was fun to watch them do a fully choreographed number. Here are a few fun pictures... I had to go clear to the back of the gym to avoid other "mamarazzis" getting in front of me (LOL!)

I did video of all the dances they did, but it was kind of hard to see Eryn in most of them. So here is a little video of the tango ;) Oh... and she doesn't smile much in this one, but that's because it's the Tango. All of the other dances are done with a huge grin on her face.

How fun for her!!! From the video it looks like she takes her dancing very seriously! School dances will be much more for her than just moving around in a circle. :)
Very cool! I wish I would have done that!
How fun is that......she is so darling! I can't wait for Mya to get into dance, so so fun!
She is great! I love that they offer ball room dancing at her school. How fun!
I'm proud of Eryn. What a fun thing for her to be involved in. She does a great job!
