Sunny, Hot, Summertime!!

Ya know... I really wondered if it would ever get here. I mean, when you have a snowstorm at the end of May, and freeze to death at baseball games in June, you really start to think that Summer will just be skipped right over. Thankfully it wasn't, and here it is as hot as can be!

Now, every morning, the kids say "can we fill up the pool?" Thanks to Grama Cheryl for our awesome new pool! It takes seconds to fill with air, and next to forever to fill with water. I would totally just leave the water in it and keep it for several days, but by the time the kids are done, the water is full of grass and dirt... plus the grass underneath quickly turns yellow if it's left there very long. So we just move it to a new spot each day, where it can water the lawn when we empty it :)

This first day, we headed to the dollar store early to get the boys some goggles that they had been wanting. We got their favorite colors, but didn't realize until we got home, that Hayd's were adult size! Sheesh! He didn't care, but they were so huge and goofy :) We decided we'd give these ones to Kaitlyn and get Hayd a different pair.

B's fit, thank goodness! He was nice and shared with some of his friends. He's great at taking turns.

Of course, we ended up with a million neighborhood kids. They kind of came and went all day. A few here, a few there. I have a love/hate relationship with being "the place." I'm glad they want to come here, and I know where my kids are and what they are doing, but wow... sometimes it's way too many kiddos for my sanity. With the pool, it's not bad. They just stay outside in the backyard and have tons of fun!

Of course there is lots of silliness and plenty of splashing!

I didn't really get pics of the neighborhood kiddos, but we had the pool set up the next day for a cousin swim! Sage, Sydnee, Easton and Justice all came to hang out, and even our girls came out to play.

This started out pretty funny... and then B's towel got wet. He was NOT HAPPY about it, but recovered quickly when asked if he would like to go inside LOL :)

He's definitely a cool kid in his sweet shades, and stylin' goggles!

The Young girls had fun, and we are so glad they are back in Utah!

We love having Justice over. He is a funny kid. It's great to have buddies the same age as our kids :)

It was a fun day. We are looking forward to many more days in the pool.

Jen, It is sometimes a pain to have the entire neighborhood over every day!! Wait till they are teens and snarfing down everything in your fridge !!!! Trust me though...it is worth it in the end!!!! Love, Auntie Trudy
